Papaya Global was founded in 2016 by Eynat Guez, Ofer Herman, and Ruben Drong, and is headquartered in Tel Aviv. The company raised a Series D round in 2022 totaling $250 million, valuing it at $3.7 billion. It operates as a private company focused on global workforce payments and Employer of Record (EOR) services.

Papaya Global's primary product is a SaaS platform for global payroll management and cross-border employee payments. The platform enables companies to hire employees and contractors in more than 100 countries without establishing a local legal entity, using an EOR model. Its target customers are multinational companies — particularly in the technology sector — managing geographically distributed workforces. The platform addresses local regulatory compliance, multi-currency payroll processing, and integrations with existing HR systems.
