Associate Program Manager - Unmanned Systems at Airobotics · Trevo
Airobotics is seeking an Associate Program Manager to support the execution of complex, multidisciplinary programs in autonomous aerial systems and counter-drone technologies. Reporting directly to the Program Manager, this role combines hands-on project coordination with direct ownership of defined workstreams and cross-functional deliverables from initiation to completion.
This is an exceptional opportunity for a proactive, high-potential individual to manage high-tempo project execution, remove operational bottlenecks, and drive cross-functional delivery under demanding schedules.
What you'll do
Program Execution & Support: Report to the Program Manager and support day-to-day execution, planning, and cross-functional coordination across R&D, operations, procurement, supply chain, and finance.
Workstream Ownership: Own defined project tasks end-to-end—defining objectives, building execution plans, tracking dependencies, and driving deliverables to completion.
Procurement Oversight: Drive project procurement requirements, coordinating closely with supply chain and purchasing teams to track orders, supplier commitments, and long-lead items.
Integration & Delivery Readiness: Ensure total hardware and equipment readiness for all key milestones, proactively identifying missing components and resolving supply gaps ahead of integration, testing, and field deployments.
System Rollout & Internal Focal Point: Lead end-to-end system implementation with operational end-users, serving as the main point of contact; coordinate and guide internal teams to provide rapid support and resolve technical and field issues.
Task & Action Item Management: Maintain action-item trackers and project task boards; actively follow up with owners to verify progress and unblock overdue activities.
Risk & Bottleneck Identification: Identify execution gaps early, analyze root causes, propose practical recovery plans, and escalate risks to the Program Manager with actionable solutions.
Meeting Facilitation & Alignment: Lead focused cross-functional working sessions, align teams on decisions and next steps, and ensure clear ownership and deadlines.
Field & Event Support: Assist in preparing for and executing formal program reviews, integration activities, field trials, demonstrations, and customer deliveries.
Documentation & Tools: Provide concise status updates and decision-support materials
Requirements
Project Management Experience: 1–3 years of proven experience in project management, project coordination, or managing project workstreams in a technological, engineering, or multidisciplinary environment. (Note: Direct client management experience is NOT required).
Technical Depth & Understanding: Strong technical understanding with a proven ability to dive into complex technical details (hardware, software, operations), ask critical questions, and work effectively alongside engineering and integration teams.
Education / Technical Background: Relevant Academic Degree (B.Sc. in Engineering, Computer Science, Technology Management, or Exact Sciences) OR significant military/technical background from IDF technological units, Intelligence, C4I, or Israeli Air Force / UAV / Drone operational units.
Ownership & Execution: Strong personal drive, initiative, and attention to detail—proven ability to take ownership of unorganized or ambiguous tasks and follow through diligently to successful completion.
Matrix Collaboration: Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, coordinate multiple contributors, and build team accountability without formal authority.
Prioritization & Agility: Strong organizational capabilities to track dependencies and manage short-turnaround deadlines, with the agility and flexibility to adapt smoothly as priorities shift.
Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in both Hebrew and English (fluent written and verbal); confident interacting with technical, operational, and business stakeholders.
Dedication & Flexibility: Strong commitment and hands-on approach; willing to flex schedule when needed to support critical program milestones, field trials, and client demonstrations.
Nice to have
UAS & Defence Technologies: Prior experience in the defence industry, unmanned aerial systems (UAS/drones), counter-drone technologies, robotics, aerospace, or direct interface with the IDF, Ministry of Defence (IMOD), or DDR&D (Mafat).
Operational / Technical Experience: Hands-on experience in system integration, field operations, procurement, supply chain, or technical support.
Tools & Software: Strong ability to navigate and quickly learn program management tools and software (e.g., Jira, Confluence, ERP systems, MS Project/Monday).
