About the role
Board Design Engineer – Electro-Optical Systems
A defense company in central Israel is looking for a Board Design Engineer to join the development of advanced electro-optical systems.
The role includes participation in system-level design processes, specification of electronic assemblies, boards and wiring, board selection and design support, integration, testing, and engineering support throughout the product lifecycle, from development to delivery to the customer.
What you'll do
Defining electronic assemblies, boards and wiring requirements
Participating in system design, integration and testing processes
Working closely with system engineers, R&D teams and project stakeholders
Supporting procurement, production and assembly interfaces
Working with subcontractors and external suppliers
Supporting the system development process through final delivery to the customer
Requirements
B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering – mandatory
At least 2 years of proven experience as a Board Designer – mandatory
Fast learning ability, strong analytical skills and broad system-level understanding
Ability to work independently in a dynamic, multitasking environment
Excellent interpersonal skills and strong teamwork abilities
Nice to have
Experience designing digital circuits including Ethernet, CPU and FPGA
Experience leading a board from development stage to serial production
