At RealPlay, you’ll find a collaborative, fast-paced, and creative environment where ideas come to life. We’re looking for a Game Economy Manager to optimize the in-game economy for our brands. You’ll be responsible for developing and maintaining a balanced, engaging, and monetization-friendly economic system that enhances player satisfaction while driving business performance. This is a key role that blends data analysis, behavioral insights, and game design, requiring both creativity and a strong analytical mindset.
Responsibilities
Define key economic metrics and continuously monitor and optimize them to improve game performance.
Analyze player behavior and understand how different segments interact with in-game systems and monetization features.
Identify and develop purchase drivers and engagement challenges within the economy.
Design and manage pricing strategies and content balancing between free and paid elements.
Recommend and design reward systems and monetization features that fulfill player needs while meeting business goals.
Create new features that enhance long-term player satisfaction and open additional monetization opportunities.
Design and manage the virtual goods ecosystem, maintaining balance between accessibility and profitability.
Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Marketing Managers, UX/UI Designers, Data Scientists, and Developers to align economy design with product goals.
Conduct data analysis post-feature launch to identify strong and weak points in the economy model.
Build simulations and predictive models to forecast the impact of design changes.
Design and evaluate A/B testing strategies to measure effectiveness and optimize systems.
Research and apply macroeconomic models tailored to different player segments.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
2+ years of experience as Game Economy manager– MUST.
Excellent command of Excel – MUST.
work experience as product/monetization analyst - strong advantage
Knowledge of SQL or R – strong advantage.
Passion for working with data, numbers, and analytical models.
Strong interest in gaming, especially mobile free-to-play titles.
Experience or familiarity with online, social, or multiplayer games – advantage.
Ability to balance player experience with revenue optimization in game economy systems.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills across multidisciplinary teams.
