Guardio was founded in Tel Aviv in 2018 by Amos Peled, Daniel Vovchinski, and Michael Vainshtein. The company is privately held and secured a $47 million funding round in late 2021 led by Tiger Global. Guardio operates out of its Tel Aviv headquarters. The core product is a cloud-based browser extension that protects users from phishing, malware, and malicious extensions.

Guardio develops browser security tools delivered directly as extensions for Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, and other Chromium-based browsers.
