Attackers don't hack- they log in.
Almost every major breach starts with a credential that should never have existed. Venice ends standing access for every person, service account, and AI agent across cloud, SaaS, and on-prem. Our agentless platform deploys in minutes, swapping stale access workflows for real-time, just-in-time enforcement.
But we're not only building this to stop breaches and replace clunky, legacy PAM setups. We're building it so teams can hand real privileges to AI agents and move faster, not just apply controls that slow everything down. Every company is about to put agents inside its most sensitive systems, and we're making it secure and possible for those agents to be a true part of the workforce.
Backed by Index Ventures and IVP, trusted by Fortune 200 security teams, and deployed in some of the most complex enterprise environments in the world. The rules for how AI gets access are being written right now. Come write them with us.
What you'll do
Build and own Venice's legal function from scratch as our first legal hire, setting up the governance, policies, playbooks and processes we'll scale on through our next stages of growth.
Take enterprise deals end-to-end, from first redline to signature: SaaS subscription agreements, MSAs, DPAs, security addendums, vendor, reseller and partnership agreements with Fortune 500 customers.
Design and lead our privacy, security and AI compliance program across GDPR, CCPA, Israeli privacy law and emerging AI regulation such as the EU AI Act, working hand in hand with our SOC 2 and ISO 27001 efforts.
Shape how AI agents are governed legally and contractually. Liability, data handling and access rights for autonomous agents is a net-new area with no playbook to copy from.
Lead legal strategy across IP, employment, corporate governance and Israel-US entity matters, and support fundraising, strategic partnerships and future M&A from due diligence to close.
Collaborate directly with the founders and with Sales, Finance, Security, HR and R&D as a business-first advisor, helping teams move fast with confidence instead of slowing them down.
You will be working with modern, AI-powered legal tools, such as contract lifecycle management and AI-assisted review and redlining, to build a lean, highly leveraged legal operation and manage outside counsel efficiently.
Requirements
5+ years of experience as a Commercial / Tech Lawyer in a fast-paced environment, ideally combining a leading law firm with an in-house role at a B2B SaaS or tech company.
LL.B, J.D. or equivalent, licensed to practice law in Israel, with proven experience drafting and negotiating complex B2B SaaS, data processing and service agreements.
Solid understanding of privacy and data protection laws (GDPR, CCPA, Israeli law) and familiarity with information security frameworks such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001.
Strong grasp of AI and its legal implications, and the ability to get up to speed quickly on unfamiliar jurisdictions and topics.
Business-minded lawyer with sharp judgment who balances risk with opportunity and gives clear, practical answers rather than long legal memos.
Self-starter who works independently, seeks to understand the big picture, and takes full ownership of projects to drive them to completion.
Excellent communication skills with fluent written and spoken English, capable of explaining complex legal issues clearly to both legal and non-legal stakeholders.
Why join us?
The Timing
The timing couldn't be better. Legacy privileged access management is dead, the market leader was just absorbed, and there's a narrow window to define what replaces it. We're in that window right now.
The Culture
Our team is small with exceptional people who are actually fun to work with and the distance between your idea and production is short. Plus, we take our coffee seriously.
If this sounds like your kind of challenge, apply- even if you don't tick every box.
