Job Description
About the role
A high-growth, commercially proven Medical Device and Advanced Wearables technology company operating as the core innovation and development arm of a premier global consumer and healthcare conglomerate.
The company has engineered a breakthrough, FDA-cleared and CE-certified medical wearable integrating miniaturized hardware, advanced real-time digital signal processing, and low-power architectures already commercialized worldwide to improve patients' daily lives.
Employing dozens of specialists locally, the organization combines the robust financial backing, resources, and career stability of a global market leader with the agile execution and collaborative culture of an elite tech startup.
The R&D center is located in North Tel Aviv, operating on a hybrid model with up to two days working from home.
Role Description-
• Serving as a Senior Embedded DSP Software Engineer, joining the dedicated Audio Algorithms group to lead the implementation, integration, and real-time optimization of advanced DSP algorithms on resource-constrained embedded platforms.
• Architecting and deploying mission-critical embedded software in modern C and C++ tailored for constrained microcontrollers, DSP cores, and embedded processors running RTOS.
• Driving efficient implementation of core DSP blocks: FFT/IFFT, digital filtering (FIR/IIR), adaptive filters, noise reduction, and spectral processing.
• Leading performance tuning, profiling, and hardware optimization to achieve minimal memory footprints, ultra-low latency, and tight energy/power consumption budgets.
• Performing deep algorithmic translation: managing Fixed-Point vs. Floating-Point trade-offs, numerical accuracy, precision loss, dynamic range scaling, and compiler optimization flags.
• Collaborating closely with Algorithm Researchers, Hardware/Board Designers, and System Architects to bring theoretical acoustic and audio processing models into seamless, real-time edge execution.
Requirements-
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related technical discipline – Mandatory
• 5+ years of dedicated professional experience in Embedded Software / Firmware development, with a substantial focus on DSP implementation – Mandatory
• Deep, proven theoretical and practical grasp of Floating-Point and Fixed-Point arithmetic, precision scaling, quantization noise, and compiler trade-offs – Mandatory
• Extensive hands-on experience implementing foundational DSP functionalities (e.g., FFT, FIR/IIR filters, multirate signal processing) – Mandatory
• Proven track record developing and deploying real-time DSP algorithms on embedded hardware in close collaboration with research/algorithm teams – Mandatory
• Strong programming depth and best practices in C and C++ for bare-metal and RTOS-based embedded environments – Mandatory
• Hands-on proficiency with laboratory debugging tools (logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, JTAG/SWD emulators) – Mandatory
• Excellent problem-solving skills, high technical ownership, and fluent English communication – Mandatory
