Bagira’s simulators are being used by hundreds of thousands of soldiers at more than 40 sites worldwide. Bagira is looking for a DevOps Lead to join our engineering team at Bagira. We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced technical leader with strong leadership qualities, a can-do attitude, and a passion for building secure, scalable cloud architectures. In this role, you will own the cloud architecture vision and execution, work closely with development teams to enable high-velocity delivery, and lead the DevOps team through mentoring, best practices, and hands-on technical leadership. What will you do? Lead the end-to-end cloud architecture, design and implementation, with a strong focus on security, scalability, and reliability. Own and evolve the DevOps roadmap, tooling, and operating model across R&D. Partner with software architects and developers to design deployment patterns, service architecture, and production-grade infrastructure. Lead, mentor, and grow the DevOps team, set technical standards, conduct design reviews, and drive professional development. Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, release processes, and automation to improve quality and delivery speed. Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management, ensuring environments are reproducible and auditable. Establish cloud security best practices, including IAM, secrets management, network segmentation, secure baselines, and continuous compliance. Design observability practices (monitoring, logging, alerting, tracing), define SLOs/SLAs, and improve incident response readiness. Optimize cloud cost and performance, including capacity planning, scaling strategies, and continuous efficiency improvements. Take part in hands-on execution when needed, especially in early-stage architecture and key infrastructure components.
