Director of Communications & Brand at Agora · Trevo
Agora is a leading SaaS and FinTech platform transforming how real estate investment firms manage their capital, investors, and operations. Trusted by 1200+ GPs, owners/operators, and investment firms globally, we help teams streamline the full lifecycle of investment management — from fundraising and onboarding to reporting, distributions, tax, and back-office automation.
But we’re more than software. We’re a team of bold thinkers, innovators, and real estate enthusiasts who believe complex processes should feel simple. Our platform combines modern technology with expert services, helping customers raise more capital, deliver a better investor experience, and scale their businesses smarter.
Backed by leading VCs including Insight Partners and Qumra Capital, Agora is growing rapidly and has been recognized as one of Globes’ Most Promising Startups, a Best Start-Up Company to Work For by Duns 100, and one of Business Insider’s Hottest PropTech Startups.
We’re looking for an exceptional Director of Communications & Brand to define and amplify Agora’s voice, reputation, and market presence.
Reporting to the CMO, you’ll own our communications strategy, narrative, and external presence, while leading the PR, Content, Social, and Communications functions. You’ll help shape how Agora is perceived by customers, investors, partners, employees, media, and the broader real estate and technology ecosystem.
This is a strategic leadership role that goes beyond traditional PR. You’ll help position Agora as a trusted, established, and differentiated category leader, while ensuring our brand and story are compelling and consistent across every touchpoint.
What you'll do
Own Agora's communications and narrative strategy, defining our positioning, messaging, voice, and differentiation in the market.
Lead PR and media relations hands-on and in-house, without relying on an external agency: building relationships with journalists, analysts, and industry voices directly, and driving high-impact earned media yourself.
Build and lead Agora's influencer program: identify, recruit, and manage relationships with relevant real estate, fintech, and proptech influencers and creators to expand Agora's reach and credibility.
Lead Content and Social, creating thought leadership, executive content, research, customer stories, and narratives that strengthen our position in the market.
Drive brand perception, developing campaigns and communications initiatives designed to increase awareness, trust, and market leadership.
Partner with Creative and Design to ensure Agora consistently looks as strong as it sounds across campaigns, content, events, and external communications.
Build executive visibility, working with the CEO, CMO, and leadership team on speaking opportunities, thought leadership, media, awards, and executive communications.
Own Agora's external voice across the company, partnering with Product, Sales, Customer Success, People, and other teams to ensure a consistent and differentiated brand experience.
Build and lead a high-performing team across Communications, PR, Content, Social, and Influencer partnerships.
Define and measure communications and brand KPIs, including awareness, trust, share of voice, media impact, influencer program performance, social engagement, and market perception.
Requirements
7-10+ years of experience in communications, PR, brand, content, or marketing leadership, ideally in B2B SaaS, FinTech, PropTech, or another complex technology category.
Proven, hands-on PR experience: pitching, writing, and securing coverage directly, without depending on an external agency to execute.
Experience building or running an influencer program from the ground up: sourcing partners, managing relationships, and measuring impact.
Proven experience building or evolving a brand and shifting market perception.
Deep expertise in communications, storytelling, positioning, media relations, and brand strategy.
Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and working closely with C-level executives.
Exceptional writing, editorial, and storytelling skills.
A strong understanding of how PR, content, social, influencer, creative, and brand work together to build market leadership.
A data-driven, entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to move seamlessly between big-picture strategy and hands-on execution.
Native-level English and excellent communication skills.
What Sets You Apart
You've helped turn a company into a recognized category leader, not simply by generating attention, but by building credibility, shaping perception, and creating a distinctive point of view, and you've done it with your own hands on the keyboard and the phone, not just by directing an agency. You know how to make complex products and ideas simple, compelling, and relevant, and you see communications and brand as a growth driver, not simply a marketing function.
