We are looking for a highly motivated Electro-Optics Lab Technician / Engineer to join our Electro-Optics Group. This is a hands-on laboratory position focused on building, calibrating, and maintaining advanced optical systems that support our trapped-ion quantum computing platform.
The ideal candidate enjoys working in the lab, has excellent technical and troubleshooting skills, and takes pride in assembling and maintaining high-precision electro-optical systems.

Build, align, calibrate, and characterize electro-optical setups.
Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and optimization of the company's laser systems, including maintaining robust and accurate laser frequency locks to ensure reliable operation for trapped-ion experiments.
Diagnose and resolve issues in optical and laser systems to maximize system uptime and performance.
Maintain inventory and stock of electro-optical components and laboratory supplies.
Provide electro-optical support to R&D laboratories, including setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of experimental systems.
Document procedures, calibrations, and maintenance activities.
Extensive hands-on experience assembling, aligning, and calibrating precision electro-optical systems.

Experience working with laser systems, including alignment, maintenance, and frequency stabilization - a big advantage.
Practical engineering or B.Sc. in a relevant field – an advantage.
Experience working in an R&D laboratory environment.
Familiarity with optical instrumentation, photonics components, and laboratory best practices.
