As a Backend Engineer at Sawmills.ai, you will lead the design and development of our
Telemetry Data Management Platform. This pivotal role involves crafting scalable backend
systems that integrate seamlessly with open technologies like OpenTelemetry, ensuring our
platform remains at the cutting edge of observability solutions.

Architect systems that process and analyze vast amounts of machine data efficiently.

Work closely with the founders to ensure features meet customer needs and are
delivered to a high standard.
Collaborate with the team to enhance integration with widely-used observability tools,
ensuring robust and flexible data ingestion and analysis capabilities.

Over 10 years of experience in backend development, with a strong background in
handling large-scale data systems.
Expertise in programming languages like Go, Rust, Java, or Python and a proven track
record in building scalable server architectures.
Experience with open-source technologies and standards, particularly OpenTelemetry, is
highly desirable.
