About the Role
We’re hiring our first dedicated Marketing Lead. We’ve already built an initial demand gen engine, you’ll take ownership of it, sharpen it, and scale it into a full function, while also owning product marketing end to end. This is a high-ownership, hands-on role for someone who combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution, someone who can personally write, ship, and measure marketing, not just direct it. You’ll build on an early foundation rather than start from a blank page, with a rigorous, hypothesis-driven approach to everything you run.
What You’ll Do
Take ownership of the demand generation engine we’ve started building, sharpen, systematize, and scale it across the right channels, campaigns, and audiences.
Lead product marketing end to end: positioning, messaging, narrative, and go-to-market foundations.
Translate complex product capabilities into sharp, technically credible value propositions for enterprise buyers and technical audiences across Dev Tools, Infrastructure, and AI.
Personally write high-quality technical content, blog posts, technical explainers, website copy, decks, one-pagers, and sales enablement materials, that reads as credible to engineers, not just marketers.
Build and run outbound and growth campaigns, from strategy and messaging through execution, analysis, and optimization.
Design and run structured A/B tests across messaging, campaigns, and channels; track metrics rigorously and iterate based on evidence.
Engage directly and authentically in developer and technical communities, Reddit, Hacker News, X/Twitter, Discord, GitHub, to build organic credibility, awareness, and inbound demand.
Partner closely with product and engineering to sharpen narrative, refine positioning, and bring new capabilities to market effectively.
Build the marketing foundations, systems, and operating rhythm needed to scale a category-defining company, including a point of view on what to build in-house vs. via freelancers/agencies as the team grows.
Requirements
What We’re Looking For
5+ years building and scaling marketing at an early-stage (seed/Series A) startup, ideally as employee #1 or #2 in marketing.
Strong B2B SaaS background specifically in AI, Dev Tools, Infrastructure, or other deeply technical products, not primarily consumer or generalist SaaS.
Proven ability to personally write clear, technically credible content, this is a hands-on writing role, not a strategy-and-oversight role.
Direct experience building organic reach and credibility in developer/technical communities (Reddit, Hacker News, X, Discord, GitHub).
Clear track record in demand generation and product marketing for enterprise customers.
Strong understanding of enterprise buying motions, outbound strategy, and performance-driven marketing.
Methodical, data-driven operating style, comfortable designing experiments, tracking funnel metrics, and making decisions from evidence rather than opinion.
Hands-on experience with A/B testing, messaging optimization, funnel analysis, and campaign analytics.
Exceptional storytelling and presentation skills.
Strategic, highly operational, and comfortable operating in ambiguity.
Builder mindset, able to create structure, momentum, and results in a zero-to-one environment.
Nice to Have
Prior experience in AI/ML, security, or evaluation/observability tooling.
Technical background (CS degree, former engineer, or technical PM) that lets you go deep with product and engineering.
Experience hiring and standing up a marketing team as the company scales.
