Job Description:
The Senior Business Analyst for IT Applications partners with business and IT teams to analyze, define, and deliver technology solutions that support enterprise operations, including Supply Chain–related processes. This role acts as a bridge between business stakeholders and delivery teams, ensuring requirements are well‑defined, understood, and successfully implemented.
This position is well‑suited for an experienced Business Analyst who has worked with or alongside Supply Chain systems and is interested in deepening their domain knowledge.
Drive Business Process Automation in the Supply Chain domain.
Support Supply Chain initiatives across forecasting, planning, production control and related functions.
Partner with business stakeholders to understand current processes, challenges, and improvement opportunities.
Lead requirements gathering through interviews, workshops, and process mapping sessions.
Define business needs into clear artifacts such as user stories, acceptance criteria, functional requirements, use cases, process flows, and basic data requirements.
Identify requirement gaps or inconsistencies and work with stakeholders to resolve them.
Collaborate with developers, QA, architects, project managers, and product managers to ensure requirements are clearly understood and delivered.
Support Agile and SDLC activities, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, solution validation, UAT, and issue triage.
Review delivered functionality to confirm alignment with documented requirements.
Analyze existing applications and business processes to recommend practical improvements and automation opportunities.
Contribute to documentation of end-to-end processes and system functionality.
Support standardization of processes and practices while following change control and governance procedures.
Requirements/Qualifications:
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, Supply Chain or related field
5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst
Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies
Experience with business process modeling, requirements management tools, and data analysis
Excellent analytical skills in evaluating and interpreting end user information requirements, trouble shooting, problem solving, data extraction
Experience with scenario development, test case construction, flowcharting
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
Experience in a supply chain domain, such as forecasting, planning, production control processes.
Experience working with cross‑functional business and IT teams
Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Visio, Lucidchart, or similar
Competency
