Job description
Description
ScaleOps is redefining how modern DevOps teams manage their cloud-native infrastructure. Our real-time, automated cloud resource management platform eliminates the need for manual tuning and allocation. With over $80M in funding and customers like Wiz, SentinelOne, Outreach, and Orca Security, ScaleOps is scaling fast — and looking for sharp, curious minds to grow with us.
We’re building a platform that gives engineering teams superpowers. Behind every great product is clear, helpful, and accurate documentation — and that’s where you come in.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Technical Writer to join our Product team and own the voice of our documentation. You'll help ensure that ScaleOps users — from DevOps engineers to application developers — have the clear, actionable guidance they need to succeed.
This role is perfect for someone who loves translating technical complexity into crisp, easy-to-follow documentation and thrives in a fast-paced, developer-centric environment.
What You’ll Do:
Create, maintain, and improve technical documentation across our platform, CLI tools, and integrations
Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to understand new features and translate them into user-facing guides and release notes
Own the end-to-end documentation workflow: structure, style, tooling, and publishing
Review and refine in-app text, tooltips, and microcopy to ensure clarity and consistency
Contribute to customer-facing knowledge bases and onboarding materials
Help define the docs strategy as we scale and build a documentation culture within the company
Requirements
What You Bring
3+ years of experience in technical writing for a technical or developer audience
Strong technical background — whether through formal education or hands-on experience in dev, QA, DevOps, or related roles
Native-level English and exceptional writing and editing skills
Ability to work independently and take full ownership of your documentation pipeline
Curiosity and passion for simplifying complex systems
Bonus Points
Experience working in cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, or DevOps tooling
Familiarity with docs-as-code workflows (e.g. Markdown, Git, static site generators)
Prior work with B2B SaaS or developer platforms
