Software Engineer

Description Paragon is a fast-growing cyber intelligence company, rapidly establishing itself as a key player in the industry. We are a young and innovative company, building a cutting-edge product in the cyber intelligence domain, based in Tel Aviv. We are looking for an experienced Backend / Full Stack Software Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will primarily work on our client-facing platform and its backend services, contributing to a valuable, simple, and aesthetic interface that supports a highly complex cyber intelligence collection system. You will take ownership of end-to-end features, collaborate closely with multiple teams, and play an active role in shaping both product and technical decisions. Responsibilities Take ownership and responsibility for assigned tasks, with guidance and support from the Team Lead Design, implement, and maintain Backend services and APIs Write technical specifications and proactively influence product and engineering decisions Contribute to team quality by conducting code reviews and supporting fellow engineers Collaborate daily with Product, QA, and other development teams Participate in the design and implementation of distributed systems and microservices Work with messaging and queue-based systems as part of event-driven architectures Occasionally work on Frontend code for small features, debugging, and root-cause analysis Tech Stack Server: Golang, Node.js (TypeScript) MongoDB, Elasticsearch Kafka, Redis Kubernetes, Docker Client: React (TypeScript) Requirements 8+ years of experience in Backend development, with proven experience building complex, large-scale systems Strong experience designing and developing distributed systems, including microservices architectures Hands-on experience with messaging / queue-based systems (e.g., Kafka or similar) Solid experience working with databases, including MongoDB and/or SQL databases Backend-focused engineer with a Full-Stack mindset Willingness and motivation to work on Frontend code when needed, mainly for small features, debugging, and root-cause analysis (10-15%) Basic experience with Frontend technologies, preferably React (TypeScript) Strong sense of ownership, responsibility, and proactive problem-solving Excellent collaboration skills and ability to work in a cross-functional environmentAdvantages Advantages: Familiarity with Kubernetes and a basic understanding of its architecture (pods, deployments, etc.) Previous experience in the cyber or intelligence industry
