Job description
About the role
Trivago Innovation Center (formerly Holisto)
The trivago Innovation Center is looking for a Senior Product Data Analyst to partner directly with Product on two high-stakes booking products: trivago DEALS (our first-party hotel booking product on Google Hotel Ads) and trivago Book&Go (our white-label booking funnel on trivago.com).
You will be the analyst who turns mixed data sources into clear recommendations, not pipeline engineering. Day-to-day, you will work in Tableau and Mixpanel and support structured analysis of price accuracy and metasearch performance. You will work embedded with a Senior Product Manager who owns the full checkout and post-booking experience
Partner with Product on weekly and ad-hoc questions: funnel conversion, campaign health, experiment outcomes, and where users drop off.
Support price-accuracy and metasearch performance initiatives: analyse patterns, quantify impact of initiatives, and track trends alongside engineering and platform teams.
Own Mixpanel data quality on the analyst side: validate that events match product behavior, maintain dashboards leaders can act on, and flag tracking gaps before they distort conversion or A/B results.
Design and interpret A/B tests: check sample balance, segment when the decision changes, and share clear recommendations with stated confidence and caveats.
Build and maintain operational reporting in BI tools (bookings, revenue, marketing performance, and funnel health).
Communicate findings clearly to Product, commercial stakeholders, and leadership, including when the data is not yet strong enough to support a call.
This role will report to the Senior Product Manager.
