Airobotics, a company developing autonomous drone systems, is looking for an experienced Quality Control Manager for an exciting and challenging role in a growing and innovative organization. This is an opportunity to make an impact and take a leadership role in a dynamic environment with advanced products currently in development and production.
Responsible for all quality control activities within the company, including incoming inspections, in-process inspections, final inspections, nonconformance management, failure analysis, measurement equipment management, and leading a team of quality inspectors. The role involves close collaboration with Production, Engineering, Planning & Control (PPC), and suppliers to ensure product quality, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities
Responsible for quality control infrastructure and processes, including NCR, MRB, FAI, and SET-UP activities.
Responsible for performing final inspections and evaluations of products manufactured by the company according to engineering requirements.
Responsible for conducting inspections and reviews of outgoing shipments.
Responsible for incoming inspections of parts received from subcontractors and parts that have undergone special processes.
Responsible for reporting recurring quality issues discovered during inspections of internally manufactured parts and supplier-provided components, including RMA management.
Responsible for opening, documenting, and tracking nonconformances in the information system for all incoming externally purchased items.
Responsible for the management, calibration, and usability control of measurement equipment, including handling non-serviceable tools according to company procedures.
Responsible for managing the quarantine inventory/storage area.
Responsible for meeting inspection plans and quality objectives.
Generate periodic quality reports, including trend analysis, production rejections, and deviations, and lead continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Materials Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Industrial Engineering & Management, or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience in quality assurance/quality control within a manufacturing company.
Familiarity with ISO standards and aerospace quality standards such as AS9100.
At least 2–3 years of experience managing a team of quality inspectors or serving in a senior/lead quality control role.
Experience reading mechanical and/or electronic drawings and understanding engineering specifications.
Experience in the defense or aerospace industry – a significant advantage.
High level of English, including reading, speaking, and writing technical documentation.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to write documents in both Hebrew and English.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
