Job description
Description
Regulus is an agile defense-tech startup tackling the most complex challenges in counter-drone and uncrewed defense. With hundreds of combat-proven systems deployed by the IDF and global partners, we are now engineering the next generation of C-UxS (Counter-Uncrewed Systems). We leverage advanced electronic warfare and kinetic measures to detect and neutralize hostile threats. If you want to push technological boundaries while safeguarding Israel and our allies, join us at this pivotal stage of our growth.
This is a unique opportunity to join a company at a pivotal growth stage and help shape its products, culture, and future.
We are looking for a Senior Communication Algorithms Engineer, an expert in wireless systems and signal processing, to design next-generation architectures for autonomous platforms, such as drones. In this role, you will bridge the gap between RF engineering, DSP, and security research to advance our mission-critical communication technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Formulate and analyze advanced communication and signal detection challenges using mathematical methods
Evaluate architectural and algorithmic trade-offs, balancing system performance with implementation cost and complexity
Build, enhance, and maintain simulation frameworks using MATLAB and Python
Architect and design digital receiver components for realization in software and/or FPGA platforms
Implement selected functionalities directly in software, or provide technical leadership, validation, and guidance for FPGA development activities
Support the full integration lifecycle while ensuring reliable end-to-end functionality of developed features
Requirements
M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from a leading academic institution, with a focus on Digital Signal Processing and communication systems
At least 10 years of hands-on experience in the research, development, and optimization of wideband wireless communication algorithms
Broad system-level knowledge of wireless communication systems spanning RF, analog, and digital domains
Strong programming skills in MATLAB and Python
Demonstrated strength in analytical thinking, with the ability to model, analyze, and solve complex detection and communication problems
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams
Out of the box thinker ready to create a completely new solution for real-life challenges
Ready to work in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment
Practical experience working with RF laboratory instrumentation such as spectrum analyzers and vector signal generators - Advantage
