Job description
Description
Vectorious has developed the world’s first in-heart microcomputer and is on a mission to transform heart failure treatment. As part of our first in-human clinical study, we have successfully implanted our sensory device in patients across Europe and Israel, while demonstrating a huge potential in helping millions of people living with heart failure to take control and manage their disease. As an increasingly growing company we've been accepted to FDA’s prestige Breakthrough Device Designation program.
We are looking for a MEMS and Device Physics Research Engineer to join our team and to support our meaningful growth.
What Will You Do?
Testing and characterization: Planning experiments, writing test codes, using standard testing equipment and dedicated test equipment, performing experiments, analyzing data and drawing conclusions and recommendations
Data Analysis: Collect, process and analysis of raw data from our MEMS devices, implants and other inputs, including data from various points in the production process and field deployments
Modeling: Build empirical and theoretical models based on experimental data and physical models, device physics research, interface with Algo team for drift mitigation based on those models. Develop deep understanding of Vectorious’ Left Atrium Pressure measurement system, based on those models and recommend system improvements
Heat transfer Perform thermal FEA and analytical models to the system (implant and external electronic unit) and conduct experiments to verify those analytical and numerical models
Failure Analysis, reliability and burn in: Investigate and diagnose any anomalies or failures in the ASICs, MEMS devices and systems (implant and external electronic unit) by running tests, analyzing data, identifying root causes, and proposing corrective actions. Runing reliability and burn-in tests on the device in its different life cycle points (Device, ASIC, Open implant, final implant, and integrated system which includes implant and external electronic unit)
Performance Optimization: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize performance based on data-driven insights, contributing to product enhancements and reliability improvements
Reporting: Create comprehensive reports and visualizations to communicate findings, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders, including engineering teams and management
Requirements
BSc (MSc or PhD advantage) in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, applied physics or related fields
Minimum 7 years of experience in similar positions
Familiarity with MEMS technologies like MEMS surface micromachining and bulk micromachining – An advantage
Ability to work with test equipment and instrumentation for data collection and analysis, documentation, and knowledge preservation
Experience in automated tests programming
Experience is reliability testing and analysis
Experience in thermal simulation, analysis and experimental techniques
Proficiency in Python for data analysis, including data manipulation, statistical analysis, and visualization
Experience with database management and querying is advantageous – An advantage
