JDC's Disabilities, Resilience and Mental Health Division is a partnership between the Government of Israel and the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC), dedicated to developing innovative services, strengthening public systems, and advancing policy that improves the lives of people with disabilities and promotes resilience and mental health for all Israelis. Through piloting, evaluation, and cross-sector collaboration, we create scalable solutions that drive lasting social impact.
We are seeking a full-time Director of Strategic Partnerships & Resource Development to help strengthen and advance the organization’s philanthropic partnerships and external engagement efforts. Reporting to the Division's CEO and serving as part of the division's senior management team, the position plays a central role in supporting strategic partnerships, mobilizing philanthropic support, and positioning the division's work among key stakeholders in Israel and internationally.
The role requires a strategic thinker and strong relationship-builder with excellent communication skills, capable of working across complex organizational environments and collaborating with multiple internal and external stakeholders in support of people with disabilities and the promotion of resilience and mental health in Israel.
Position Description
Partnerships & Philanthropic Engagement
Manage and support relationships with existing Israeli and international foundations, federations, philanthropists, and institutional partners, while helping identify and cultivate new partnership opportunities.
Work closely with JDC-Israel and Global Resource Development teams to strengthen long-term philanthropic engagement and partnership-building efforts on behalf of JDC's Disabilities, Resilience and Mental Health Division.
Coordinate department's Advisory Committee Sessions, including meeting planning, preparation of materials, follow-up, and ongoing member engagement.
Develop content and presentations for donor engagement and external-facing meetings.
Coordinate and accompany meetings, visits, missions, and field tours, for donors, partners and external stakeholders, including planning agendas, preparing materials, and facilitating visits and meetings in collaboration with JDC Resource Development teams and JDC's Disabilities, Resilience and Mental Health Division staff.
Resource Development & Strategic Positioning
Support the development of funding proposals, concept notes, reports, presentations, and donor communications, in close collaboration with program teams, finance, and JDC Resource Development colleagues.
Help translate complex social challenges and initiatives into compelling narratives for external audiences.
Coordinate all external positioning and visibility efforts, working with JDC Marketing & Communications teams to help ensure key initiatives and impact are reflected across media, newsletters, websites, and other external communications.
Management Responsibilities
Contribute to organizational planning and strategic processes as part of JDC's Disabilities, Resilience and Mental Health Division senior management team.
Support the department's additional initiatives and tasks, as needed, in alignment with the direction and priorities of the Division's CEO.
