Classiq builds the software layer for quantum computing: a compiler, IDE, and platform that takes quantum algorithms from a high-level description down to hardware-ready execution. We are now building the software stack for the fault-tolerant era, where quantum error correction (QEC) turns noisy physical qubits into reliable logical ones. Our compilation and resource-estimation pipeline for surface-code lattice-surgery architectures is already being integrated into the product, and our roadmap is to become the compiler and resource-estimation layer across every emerging fault-tolerant hardware stack.
We are hiring a Product Team Lead to own our QEC initiative end-to-end and to lead a set of tightly connected product areas around it. This is a hands-on management role: you will personally drive our QEC product strategy while building and leading a team that also owns quantum execution, the Classiq quantum library, and a portfolio of business and partnership initiatives. You must be an outstanding technical product leader who can reason about hard, systems-level problems, earn the trust of a top-notch research team, and ramp quickly on the QEC domain.
What you'll do
Set and communicate a crisp product vision and roadmap across QEC, execution, and the Classiq library, and align it with the company strategy and quarterly plan.
Work shoulder-to-shoulder with our QEC head of research and R&D leads to translate a research-heavy roadmap into a shippable product with clear scope, sequencing, and success criteria.
Run discovery with users, design partners, and hardware companies; convert their real constraints into requirements and credible resource-estimation deliverables.
Own prioritization and trade-offs across a broad surface area (research bets vs. near-term delivery, depth vs. breadth of architecture support).
Build, manage, and grow a product team; set the bar for product craft, writing, and decision-making.
Drive the business side: partnership scoping, positioning, packaging, and the narrative that makes Classiq the default FT software layer.
Keep execution honest: track delivery, surface risk early, and close the loop between roadmap commitments and what ships.
Requirements
7+ years in product management, including experience leading or mentoring PMs, in a deeply technical product (developer tools, compilers, EDA, HPC, ML infrastructure, scientific computing, or similar).
PhD or MSc in Quantum Information, Physics, Applied Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related technical field.
Strong systems thinking: comfortable reasoning about compilation, optimization, resource trade-offs, and complex constrained problems.
A track record of owning ambiguous, research-adjacent roadmaps and turning them into shipped products.
Excellent written and verbal communication; able to earn credibility with PhD-level researchers and with commercial partners in the same week.
Business instinct: you can shape partnerships, positioning, and packaging, not just backlog.
Ability to ramp fast on a hard new domain and enjoy doing so.
Nice to have
Background in quantum computing, quantum error correction, or fault tolerance (surface codes, lattice surgery, decoding, resource estimation).
Prior experience working directly with hardware companies or research labs as partners or customers.
Technical fluency (able to read code, specs, and research papers and hold your own in a design review).
