Engineering Documentation & Assembly Files Team Lead

Amarel is seeking an experienced Team Lead for a diverse and dynamic role combining team management, customer management, innovation and technology leadership, alongside hands-on engineering documentation work. The position includes direct and professional management of two teams, responsibility for ongoing customer interfaces and delivery, and leading technological and process improvements. Approximately 30% of the role is dedicated to hands-on work in engineering documentation, assembly files, work instructions, and 3D modeling. The position is ideal for an experienced professional with a strong background in engineering and manufacturing environments, proven leadership capabilities, customer-facing experience, and the ability to combine people and process management with hands-on technical work. • Directly manage and professionally lead two teams: a BUILD team and an NPI Supplier team. • Manage employee lifecycle activities, including onboarding, training, mentoring, feedback, retention, and professional development. • Lead the onboarding, training, and professional development of new team members. • Manage ongoing customer activities, including status updates, reporting, identifying gaps and risks, and driving solutions. • Conduct performance and feedback discussions and develop professional training plans for team members. • Monitor team performance, productivity, quality, and efficiency metrics. • Perform quality reviews and provide professional approval of engineering deliverables. • Lead innovation and technology initiatives in collaboration with Amarel's Technology Department and the Assembly Files professional community. • Identify challenges and professional needs from the field, develop solutions, and drive required developments into the department's technology roadmap. • Collaborate with Project Managers, R&D and Manufacturing Engineers, Configuration Managers, and technical content experts. • Identify professional and operational bottlenecks and lead continuous improvement initiatives. • Manage ongoing status reviews with technology and customer stakeholders and present key updates, risks, and challenges to management. • Perform hands-on engineering documentation work, including assembly files and related engineering deliverables, for approximately 30% of the role.
