What you'll do

At Kyndryl, we are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Automation Engineer to design, develop, and implement scalable automation solutions that improve operational efficiency, standardization, and service reliability across complex enterprise environments.
As an Infrastructure Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in developing reusable automation frameworks and orchestrating operational processes across infrastructure, middleware, databases, cloud platforms, and application environments. Leveraging Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform and industry-leading automation practices, you will help reduce operational risk, eliminate manual effort, and accelerate service delivery.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze technical requirements, design automation solutions, and support the full automation lifecycle from design and development through testing, deployment, and continuous optimization. Your expertise will contribute to operational excellence, governance compliance, and enterprise modernization initiatives.
Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise automation playbooks and reusable automation frameworks.
Analyze application, infrastructure, middleware, and platform dependencies to develop reliable, scalable, and maintainable automation solutions.
Develop automation workflows using Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform and Ansible Playbooks.
Automate operational procedures across enterprise infrastructure, operating systems, middleware, databases, cloud services, and application platforms.
Collaborate with application owners, infrastructure teams, middleware administrators, cloud engineers, network engineers, and security teams to gather requirements and validate automation opportunities.
Execute Unit Testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and production deployment activities for automation solutions.
Troubleshoot automation failures, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Participate in code reviews and apply engineering best practices to ensure high-quality, reliable, and maintainable automation code.
Maintain source code repositories, automation assets, and documentation using Git and version control best practices.
Support production implementation, change management activities, and post-deployment support in accordance with internal governance and ITIL processes.
Continuously optimize automation solutions to improve standardization, operational efficiency, and platform reliability.
Ensure automation solutions comply with security policies, access controls, audit requirements, and operational standards.
Evaluate emerging technologies, automation tools, and DevOps practices to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
Provide technical guidance, knowledge transfer, and support to project teams and operational support organizations.
You are a highly motivated automation professional with strong experience in enterprise infrastructure, systems administration, and automation engineering. You enjoy solving complex operational challenges through automation and are passionate about building scalable, reusable solutions that improve service quality and reliability.
You have strong technical problem-solving skills, can work independently with minimal supervision, and collaborate effectively with stakeholders across multiple technology domains. You are customer-focused, adaptable, and committed to continuous learning and innovation.

Strong hands-on scripting experience using:

Nice to have
Experience within Banking, Financial Services, Insurance (BFSI), or other highly regulated enterprise environments.
Knowledge of ITIL processes, change management, and production governance practices.
Experience with cloud platforms, infrastructure-as-code, and enterprise middleware technologies.
Familiarity with DevOps methodologies and CI/CD principles.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Relevant certifications in Red Hat, Ansible, Linux, Cloud, Automation, or DevOps technologies.
