Role Overview
Masterschool is seeking a high-performing US Controller to play a key role in the finance and accounting of the company’s US entities, as the scope and volume of activity continue to grow. This role is part of the global Finance team and carries significant responsibility for ensuring that accounting processes, controls, and reporting scale effectively alongside the expanding US business.
The position is based at Masterschool’s headquarters in Tel-Aviv, Israel and involves close, ongoing collaboration with finance stakeholders, and partners in the United States.
Key Responsibilities:
Own Finance & Accounting activities for Masterschool’s US entities, including building and scaling processes and controls to support growing activity.
Own and manage revenue recognition processes in accordance with US GAAP
Lead accounts receivable and customer collections for US entities, ensuring timely cash collection and strong financial controls
Serve as a key finance partner to US-based teams, internal stakeholders, and external accountants
Play a central role in monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for US entities
Support audits, reviews, and regulatory processes related to US entities
Support additional finance and accounting initiatives as needed
Requirements
Qualifications:
CPA (Israeli CPA or US CPA) - required
3+ years of experience in Finance & Accounting
Strong understanding of US GAAP, including revenue recognition
Excellent English (spoken and written) - required
Full professional fluency in Hebrew - required
Willingness to work afternoon-to-evening hours during part of the week to support collaboration with US teams
Ability to operate effectively and independently in a changing, growth-oriented environment
Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks) – an advantage
Experience with US Title IV regulations / Title IV accounting - a strong advantage
