We are seeking a high-caliber Director of Electrical Project Development (Interconnection Manager) to lead our grid integration strategy. This is not just a process-management role; it is a high-stakes, strategic position requiring creative problem-solving to unlock grid bottlenecks, rescue stalled high-value assets, and drive multi-year infrastructure initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess the technical authority and executive presence to negotiate and transforming complex grid constraints into viable, operational green models.

What you'll do
Lead the company's electrical grid strategy for renewable energy projects, coordinating and integrating all cross-functional electrical interfaces and requirements.
Manage and drive initiatives to accelerate grid connections, shortening connection timelines for projects under construction.
Manage and optimize grid injection/export rights, including the removal of constraints and expansion of connection capacities for both development-stage and operational projects.
Oversee connection applications, including registration processes, payments, appeals, follow-up activities, and coordination with relevant stakeholders throughout the connection process.
Serve as the official point of contact with the Israel Electric Corporation (IEC) and provide responses to regulatory stakeholders.
Support project synchronization efforts by assisting the Construction Department during grid connection activities, PPA execution, electrification processes, gap resolution, and schedule acceleration.
Manage international and local technical consultants specializing in power grids and electrical infrastructure.
Collaborate extensively with internal departments and cross-functional teams.
Requirements
Education
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering & Management, or a related field – required.
Professional Experience
Familiarity with work processes and key stakeholders within the Israel Electric Corporation (IEC) and Noga – former employees are encouraged to apply.
Minimum 5 years of experience in transmission and/or high-voltage distribution networks – required.
Proven experience leading cross-organizational projects.
Technical Skills
