Backend Team Lead

Cyabra is a narrative intelligence company that protects global enterprises, public relation agencies, and governments from online manipulation and disinformation. Utilizing advanced AI, the platform comprehensively analyzes cross-platform social media discourse- tracking profiles, behaviors, and multi-language content - to accurately differentiate organic human interaction from coordinated inauthentic activity, deepfakes, bot networks, and malicious impersonations. By uncovering these hidden narratives and measuring how quickly manufactured manipulation propagates, Cyabra translates real-time insights into evidence-based mitigation workflows that empower organizations to protect their brand reputation, manage crises, and ensure the authenticity of online conversations. We are searching for a hands-on, visionary Backend Team Leader to head our core development group. In this role, you will do more than manage tasks; you will drive technical excellence, shape our backend architecture, and foster a culture of high performance and innovation. The ideal candidate takes full ownership of architecture, is committed to advancing the organization rather than just overseeing processes, and is eager to champion our 'AI-First' engineering philosophy by utilizing the latest tools to accelerate development. What's to love about this role • Drive Strategic Impact: Take active ownership of the backend roadmap, pushing the company forward through technical innovation and strategic execution rather than just managing Scrum processes. • Lead and Mentor: Guide, inspire, and elevate a talented team of 5+ backend developers, fostering an environment of continuous growth and high engineering standards. • Architect High-Scale Systems: Own and evolve the backend architecture of our high-scale systems, ensuring they efficiently process massive volumes of data in real time. • Champion Engineering Excellence: Oversee the development lifecycle, set best practices for code quality, and lead thorough architectural and code reviews to maintain optimal system performance. • Lead an AI-First Workflow: Drive development velocity by integrating AI coding tools into daily processes. You will not only utilize these tools but will proactively challenge AI-generated outputs, identifying potential vulnerabilities or inefficiencies to maintain our high standards of system stability.
