We are looking for a highly capable and experienced Technology Director for leading a multidisciplinary technology team in Nova’s CTO organization. The team specializes in the development of future physical and mathematical modeling solutions of multiple technologies across all Nova divisions.
Nova develops metrology products for the semiconductor industry, allowing measurement of the device geometry (transistors, memory devices etc.) with sub-nanometer accuracy as well as material properties. The ever-shrinking dimensions of devices require a corresponding development of new and improved metrology technologies, which is the responsibility of the CTO group.
The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the modeling solutions roadmap of future Nova metrology products as well as facilitate cross-divisional technological activities. She/He is expected to lead and develop the team in accordance with the growing needs and challenges the company faces.
The position reports to the Corporate CTO and includes managing a team of 7 physicists and data scientists

Role Responsibilities
Own and shape the roadmap for next-generation physical, mathematical, and AI-enabled modeling solutions that will power Nova’s future metrology platforms and support the company’s long-term technology and product strategy.
Lead, inspire, and develop a high-caliber multidisciplinary team of physicists and data scientists, creating an environment of scientific depth, technical excellence, accountability, curiosity, and bold innovation.
Transform complex semiconductor device, materials, and process-control challenges into robust modeling capabilities that deliver sub-nanometer accuracy, deeper process insight, and measurable customer value.
Partner closely with technology, product, algorithms, hardware, applications, and divisional leadership teams to bridge advanced research with product execution and accelerate the transition from scientific concept to high-value metrology solution.
Initiate and lead strategic internal and external collaborations with customers, research partners, and technology groups to expand Nova’s modeling capabilities across dimensional, materials, chemical, and software-enabled metrology domains.
Scout, evaluate, and translate emerging scientific, semiconductor, AI, machine learning, and high-performance computing trends into practical technology directions that strengthen Nova’s competitive edge.
Build the team’s technical capabilities, working methodologies, and talent pipeline to support Nova’s growth, global customer needs, and increasingly complex technology transitions in advanced semiconductor manufacturing.
Serve as a senior technology leader within the Corporate CTO organization, influencing cross-company priorities, communicating complex ideas clearly, and helping Nova continue to “see the unseen” through breakthrough process-control innovation.
