We are seeking an experienced Strategic Purchasing Buyer with strong negotiation skills, technical understanding, and business acumen to lead strategic sourcing initiatives and supplier engagement activities across global markets.
The role combines commercial leadership with technical insight and requires the ability to identify innovative sourcing opportunities, develop strategic supplier partnerships, and contribute directly to the company's growth, competitiveness, and profitability.
The successful candidate will possess a solid understanding of mechanical systems, composite materials, manufacturing technologies, and complex assemblies used in advanced communication, aerospace, defense, and tracking systems.
Responsibilites
Develop and execute strategic sourcing and supplier management strategies.
Lead commercial and contractual negotiations with global suppliers and manufacturers.
Identify, evaluate, qualify, and develop new strategic suppliers.
Drive cost reduction, value engineering, and Design-to-Cost initiatives.
Collaborate closely with Engineering, Operations, Programs, Quality, and Business Development teams.
Identify innovative technical and commercial solutions to improve competitiveness and profitability.
Analyze global supply markets, emerging technologies, and industry trends.
Build long-term strategic partnerships with key suppliers.
Conduct supplier performance reviews and continuous improvement programs.
Mitigate supply chain risks and ensure continuity of critical technologies and materials.
Promote supplier capabilities that enable new business opportunities and support company growth initiatives.
Requirements
Education
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 5- 7 years of experience in Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, Supplier Management, or Business Development within a technology-driven industry.
Proven track record in leading high-value negotiations and complex commercial agreements.
Experience with suppliers specializing in:
Precision Mechanics
Machining Technologies
Composite Materials
Mechanical Structures and Assemblies
Electromechanical Manufacturing
Experience in Aerospace, Defense, Telecom, or High-Tech industries is highly desirable.
