Gilat Stellar Blu, a wholly owned subsidiary of Gilat, specializes in providing advanced satellite communication solutions for in-flight connectivity. With a focus on delivering reliable, high-speed satellite services to the aerospace industry, Gilat Stellar Blu enables seamless, scalable connectivity for commercial and business aviation.
We are looking for a Systems IV&V Engineer for our Avionics division to support the integration, verification, and validation of certified avionics products. This role works closely with senior engineers to perform testing, system integration, requirements verification, troubleshooting, documentation, and certification support, contributing to the delivery of safe and reliable avionics solutions.
Annual base salary range: $85,000–$90,000 USD
What you'll do
Develop and execute test plans, test procedures, and test cases.
Translate system and customer requirements into verification activities.
Assist with troubleshooting and issue resolution during integration and testing.
Support certification and compliance efforts, including requirements traceability and test documentation.
Maintain verification records, test results, and technical reports.
Contribute to automation, lab infrastructure, and process improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with systems, hardware, software, and program teams throughout the product lifecycle.
Follow engineering standards, quality requirements, and safety practices.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Systems, Aerospace, Electrical, Software, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
At least 2-5 years of experience in systems engineering, avionics, aerospace, embedded systems, testing, or related technical environments.
Knowledge of systems integration, verification, and validation principles.
Familiarity with avionics or embedded systems and hardware/software integration.
Experience with Linux or Windows environments.
Familiarity with engineering tools such as Git, Jira, Confluence, Python, or similar tools.
Understanding of the system development lifecycle and configuration management.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
Work Environment
This role operates in indoor settings, including office and warehouse/airplane hangar environments, requiring the use of standard office equipment and safety gear. Occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration may occur.
