TriEye

TriEye is an Israeli company that developed Short-Wave Infrared (SWIR) imaging technology built on standard silicon CMOS processes. The company was co-founded by Dr. Avi Bakal and colleagues, with an initial focus on autonomous vehicles and ADAS systems, where SWIR sensors enable reliable vision in challenging conditions such as fog, rain, and low light that defeat standard RGB cameras.

TriEye's primary product is a SWIR camera sensor manufactured using a standard CMOS process — in contrast to traditional SWIR sensors that require expensive materials such as InGaAs. The goal of this approach is to reduce SWIR sensor costs dramatically enough to enable adoption in mass-market automotive platforms. The primary target customers are automotive OEMs and ADAS system suppliers.
