Honda

Honda's motorcycle division, which predates its automobile business, remains the largest motorcycle manufacturer globally by units. The power equipment division produces the widely used Honda GX series of small engines. In aviation, Honda developed the HondaJet, a light business jet produced by Honda Aircraft Company and certified by the FAA; it became the best-selling light jet in its class by deliveries in several consecutive years. Honda has also developed hydrogen fuel cell technology through a long-running partnership with General Motors, and its Clarity Fuel Cell vehicle was sold and leased in limited markets.

Honda competes directly with Toyota, Nissan, Ford, and Hyundai in the global automotive market. In motorcycles, its primary competitors include Yamaha, Suzuki, and Kawasaki. Honda announced a merger agreement with Nissan in late 2024, which would create one of the largest automotive groups globally; the transaction was subject to regulatory review as of early 2025. Honda has historically differentiated on powertrain engineering reliability and fuel efficiency, and both the Civic and Accord have been perennial top-sellers in the U.S. compact and mid-size sedan segments.

Honda does not have a manufacturing or significant R&D presence in Israel. Its vehicles are sold in Israel through local authorized importers. No Israeli R&D center, engineering office, or significant hiring activity is publicly documented.
