"Bob" is the flagship HRIS platform, composed of modules for Core HR, Onboarding, Time & Attendance, and a Payroll Hub designed to sync data with external local payroll processors. Following the 2024 acquisition of Pento, HiBob integrated direct payroll calculation and automation capabilities into its offering for the UK market. The platform heavily integrates with daily collaboration tools such as Slack and Microsoft Teams to streamline HR approvals and employee engagement.

HiBob competes directly with modern mid-market HRIS vendors like Personio (especially prominent in Europe), BambooHR, and Rippling. Unlike BambooHR, which heavily targets the smaller SMB segment, HiBob positions itself for mid-sized enterprises (typically 200 to 2,000 employees) with multi-national footprints. The company has carved out a distinct position by focusing on "company culture" and employee experience, utilizing an interface that incorporates social-network-style elements alongside traditional HR administrative tools.

HiBob's core R&D operations are based in Tel Aviv. While the Go-to-Market, sales, and marketing functions are heavily distributed across London and the US, the engineering, product management, and design groups are predominantly stationed in Israel. The active co-founders, CEO Ronni Zehavi and CTO Israel David, are Israeli. In Israel, the company regularly hires for software engineering (backend and frontend), product management, and design roles.
