Bet Shemesh Engines

Bet Shemesh Engines (BSEL) was founded in 1968 in Beit Shemesh, originally as a joint venture between the Israeli government and French manufacturer Turbomeca. The company is publicly traded on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange under the ticker BSEN. In 2016, FIMI Opportunity Funds acquired a controlling stake in the company. BSEL operates its primary manufacturing and maintenance facilities in Beit Shemesh, with an additional site in Tirat Carmel following the acquisition of Carmel Forge.

The company's operations are divided into two primary segments. The first is manufacturing, focusing on producing specific parts for jet engines, such as compressor blades, turbine disks, and combustion chambers. The second segment is Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) for both military and civilian jet engines. The customer base includes the Israeli Air Force (IAF), Pratt & Whitney, General Electric, MTU Aero Engines, and Safran. BSEL secures long-term agreements (LTAs) with these global aerospace manufacturers, providing a steady backlog of manufacturing orders.
