We are looking for a dynamic and hands-on Global Production Manager to lead the operations of our manufacturing facility, specializing in high-reliability hardware for communication satellites. This role is primarily focused on managing day-to-day production, developing high-performing teams, and optimizing processes to ensure quality, efficiency, and scalability. The ideal candidate will also play a key role in developing and initiating global manufacturing facilities and operations.
Responsibilites
Facility Leadership:
· Oversee all production activities at the Orbit's site, ensuring alignment with project timelines, quality standards, and safety protocols.
· Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary production team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
· Implement and enforce best practices in manufacturing, assembly, and testing of satellite hardware components.
Process Optimization & Quality:
· Optimize processes to improve throughput, reduce waste, and ensure product quality while adhering to aerospace standards such as AS9100 and ISO 9001.
· Collaborate with engineering and R&D to transition designs from prototype to production.
Operational Readiness for Global Expansion:
· Develop scalable production systems and documentation to support future multi-site manufacturing.
· Contribute to the strategic planning of global production capabilities, including site selection, process standardization, and technology transfer frameworks.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
· Work closely with supply chain, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of materials and components.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
· Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as yield, cycle time, downtime, and cost efficiency.
· Identify and resolve production bottlenecks and quality issues proactively.
