The KLA Services team headquartered in Milpitas, CA is our service organization that consists of Service Sales and Marketing, Spares Supply Chain management, Field Operations, Engineering, Product Training, and Technical Support. The KLA Services organization partners with our field teams and customers in all business sectors to maintain the high performance and productivity of our products through a flexible portfolio of services. Our comprehensive services include: proactive management of tools to identify and improve performance; expertise in optics, image processing and motion control with worldwide service engineers, 24/7 technical support teams and knowledge management systems; and an extensive parts network to ensure worldwide availability of parts.
Job Description/Preferred Qualifications
Technical skills: Knowledge of server hardware and networking principles. Proficiency in interpreting, developing, and modifying Shell and Python scripts to automate tasks and improve efficiency.
Networking: Understanding of TCP/IP fundamentals and knowledge of protocols, including DNS, DHCP, HTTP, LDAP, and SMTP.
Orchestration: Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
Troubleshooting: Strong problem solving skills, passion to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues. Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and services, such as AWS or Azure, is a plus.
Influencing product designers to adopt features that optimize KLA's service business, such as calibrations, diagnostics, cost of service, reliability, and intellectual property protection, specifically tailored for our server products.
Collaborating with diverse teams to incorporate serviceability enhancements in the SW analytics product
Developing comprehensive service documentation, field service bulletins, and technical presentations to ensure successful deployment and maintenance of our server products in the field.
Driving the development and execution of a roadmap focused on reducing the cost of service, discovering opportunities for optimization and efficiency.
Defining and driving feature requirement specification documents to ensure that our server products continuously meet the evolving needs of our customers and align with market trends.
Supporting product life cycle management by actively participating in service readiness reviews and phase exits, ensuring smooth transitions and exceptional customer experiences.
Taking ownership of small-scale projects, leading them to successful completion within specified timelines, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Performing detailed analysis of complex issues, and creating best known methods (BKMs) that serve as comprehensive guides for operating and maintaining our released server products.
Identifying areas for improvement in knowledge data and systems, applying your expertise to recommend and implement enhancements that enhance the performance and reliability of our server products.
Estimated travel is 20% once trained in the classroom as part of on-the-job training program. Although, much of the job responsibilities will be performed in the office or at the customer site supporting various projects and initiatives. In addition to problem diagnosis and resolution, other support duties will include characterization and support of customer demos and field projects.
