Job Title: User Experience Data Analyst
Department & Team: User Experience
Reports to: Senior Director User Experience Research
Location: Virtual Office Ireland
Summary:
As a UX Data Analyst, you consistently demonstrate proficiency in data analysis, confidently collaborating within your product and business teams. You work independently on moderately complex analytical projects and clearly articulate your findings and recommendations to stakeholders. You're skilled at balancing analytical rigor, business goals, and data quality considerations in your work.
You'll specifically join the AMP (Analytics and Measurement Program) team, which provides insights on how customers use products within Genesys Cloud. We turn product telemetry into the metrics product teams rely on by building dashboards and maintaining product analytics tools that capture what users actually do. We also manage a custom analytics platform with AI-powered tooling that lets stakeholders ask questions of the data directly. You'll work close to the data itself, spanning product usage and customer feedback, and be the analyst other teams come to when they need to understand user behavior.
AMP builds the tools and workflows for self-serve access to customer behavioral data, so design decisions are grounded in real usage, not intuition or one-off requests, and stay traceable back to the evidence that shaped them. We also raise analytical literacy across the UX organization, helping teams ask sharper questions and read behavioral signals with confidence.
עיקרי התפקיד
Analysis & Insight Delivery: Independently scope and execute data analyses of product data for defined business problems, crafting clear, actionable insights aligned with project goals.
Product Analytics Instrumentation: Help set up and maintain our product analytics tooling (Heap, ContentSquare), defining events, keeping the tracking taxonomy accurate as the product changes, and making sure what we measure reflects real user behavior.
Stakeholder Partnership: Act as a first point of contact for incoming analytics requests from product and business teams, clarifying what's really being asked, scoping it, and presenting findings and methodology to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Reporting & Visualization: Build and maintain dashboards and recurring reports that support business monitoring and decision-making across teams.
Data Quality & Validation: Validate your own work before it ships. Reconcile numbers against known baselines, investigate discrepancies to their root cause, and document definitions so metrics mean the same thing to everyone.
AI Output Validation: Review and sanity-check outputs from our AI analytics platform, verifying that AI-generated SQL, metric calculations, and natural-language answers are correct before they reach stakeholders.
Continuous Learning: Proactively seek mentorship and training opportunities, contributing actively to the team's collective knowledge and adoption of best practices, particularly around the use of AI in analytics.
דרישות
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
A minimum of 2+ years of experience in data analysis or a related analytical role, with demonstrated ability to independently execute end-to-end analysis within a SaaS environment.
Experience building dashboards and reports in a visualization tool. The specific tool matters less than the ability to design something people rely on.
Strong SQL, including working with large datasets in a cloud data warehouse. Snowflake strongly preferred (primary platform) though equivalent depth in BigQuery, Redshift, or Databricks is acceptable. Comfortable with joins, CTEs, and aggregation at scale.
Comfort working in a documented, version-controlled environment where analysis and metric definitions are reviewed and shared across the team.
Ability to connect insights to stakeholder needs.
Strong communication skills, capable of clearly presenting findings and gathering feedback across teams.
Desirable Skills:
Hands-on Snowflake experience: familiarity with stored procedures, semantic views, Cortex Analyst, or Snowsight will get you productive quickly.
Experience with a product analytics platform such as Heap, ContentSquare, Amplitude, or Google Analytics, particularly the setup side: defining events, maintaining a tracking taxonomy, or instrumenting a product.
Experience with event-level product usage data: sessionization, clickstream, funnels, feature adoption, or journey analysis. You should be comfortable working at the granularity of individual user actions, not just pre-aggregated summaries.
Exposure to AI-assisted analytics: semantic layers, AI agents answering questions over data, or evaluating LLM-generated SQL for correctness. We serve our metrics through Snowflake Cortex agents, and you'd help shape and sanity-check what they return.
Working knowledge of Python for data analysis and automation.
Familiarity with customer experience, or contact center analytics domains.
