The Istra Hardware team is a top-tier group focused on developing and refining the hardware capabilities within Istra's complex product. Our implementation process is end-to-end, covering all hardware development components.
In this role, you will take full end-to-end responsibility for the system, architecture, design, implementation, and testing of various complex FPGA-based hardware systems and accelerators. We are seeking an individual with strong analytical and design capabilities, as well as extensive hands-on experience in all aspects of hardware development.
In this role, you will be a key player in:
Design & Implementation: Creating complex FPGA-based systems for ultra-low latency applications.
System Ownership: Driving the entire development lifecycle, from characterizing system requirements and specs to defining the SW-HW API.
Problem Solving: Applying a systematic approach to analyze and debug complex production issues, pinpointing the root cause in either the hardware or software domain.
Infrastructure Development: Building and implementing hardware analysis and development infrastructures to shorten the development cycles even further.
Requirements
What you’ll need to succeed:
BSc/MSc in Computer/Electrical Engineering from a well known academic institute (Cum Laude).
At least 5 years experience in hardware design.
Former experience in hardware-integrated software development, with a comprehensive understanding of the full product stack and its interfaces.
Proficient in HDL (Verilog / System Verilog / VHDL) language.
Lab debugging and troubleshooting skills.
Experience in FPGA development for Xilinx devices - advantage
Software skills in C/C++ - advantage.
Scripting skills in Python / R / Tcl - advantage.
Self sufficient with a can-do attitude.
Team player with excellent communication skills
