As a DevOps Software Engineering Undergraduate Intern, you will play an active role in modernizing Intel's software infrastructure through innovative DevOps practices. You will contribute to the development of automated CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IAC) solutions, and software deployment workflows that enhance the scalability and reliability of manufacturing systems. This hands-on experience will allow you to work closely with cross-functional teams, gain practical exposure to automation, and make a meaningful impact on Intel's IT systems.

You will be part of Intel's Foundry Automation group, a team focused on developing scalable automation solutions for Intel's manufacturing systems. This group plays a critical role in supporting Intel's advanced process technology development by providing automated infrastructure systems and tools that enable factory applications and processes. Joining this team means contributing to Intel's broader mission of driving innovation in semiconductor manufacturing.
Support the development of key operational reporting tools to improve operational efficiency.
Work with IT Infrastructure engineers to identify opportunities to improve server and storage operations by developing automation solutions for repetitive tasks.
Support physical server deployment and server decommission in the data center, including OS installation and configuration.
Infrastructure software automation spans full lifecycle from provisioning to monitoring.
Identify opportunities for optimization and contribute to improving IT Infrastructure deployment software.

Candidates must be currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a relevant engineering discipline.
Basic knowledge of CI/CD tools and practices, such as GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
Familiarity with at least one scripting or programming language, such as Python, JavaScript, C# or Java.
Understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems and command-line tools
