Nefesh B'Nefesh is a non-profit organization founded in 2002 by Rabbi Yehoshua Fass and Tony Gelbart to facilitate and support Jewish immigration (Aliyah) to Israel from North America and the UK. Operating in partnership with the Israeli government, the Jewish Agency, and JNF-KKL, it is not a traditional venture-backed tech company. However, headquartered in Jerusalem, the organization operates software, data, and IT teams that build and maintain the digital infrastructure required to process and track thousands of immigrants annually.

The organization functions to reduce the bureaucratic, financial, and logistical hurdles of moving to Israel. On the technology side, Nefesh B'Nefesh develops internal CRM systems to manage complex immigration cases across multiple time zones and government ministries. They build self-serve, secure web portals for prospective immigrants to upload government-mandated documents, track their application status, and access post-Aliyah integration services. The organization also runs the NBN Job Board, a platform explicitly built to connect English-speaking professionals with Israeli employers, frequently in the tech sector.
