Tufin

Tufin was founded in 2005 by Ruvi Kitov and Reuven Harrison. The company is headquartered in Ramat Gan, Israel, with its US headquarters in Boston. Tufin went public on the NYSE in April 2019 under the ticker TUFN. In 2022, the company was acquired by private equity firm Turn/River Capital for $570 million and taken private. Following the transition, Raymond Brancato became CEO in 2023, while co-founder Ruvi Kitov moved to the role of Chairman.

Tufin develops network security policy management and automation software. The core product, the Tufin Orchestration Suite, allows enterprise security and IT operations teams to visualize, define, and enforce security policies across complex hybrid networks encompassing on-premise firewalls, private clouds, and public clouds. The platform explicitly replaces manual firewall rule changes with automated workflows to prevent misconfigurations and maintain continuous compliance.

The flagship Tufin Orchestration Suite consists of three primary modules. SecureTrack provides firewall visibility, policy compliance monitoring, and audit reporting. SecureChange automates the workflow for network security configuration changes. SecureApp maps network connectivity to specific applications, allowing teams to manage firewall policies from an application-centric perspective.

Tufin operates in the Network Security Policy Management (NSPM) sector. Its two primary direct competitors are AlgoSec and FireMon. The platform is sold primarily to large enterprises, including Fortune 500 companies, that manage thousands of firewalls and routers from vendors such as Check Point, Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, and Cisco.

Tufin's global headquarters and primary R&D center are located in Ramat Gan. The Israeli site employs a significant portion of the company's engineering, product management, and global customer support teams. Both founders are Israeli, and the local office serves as the technical core of the company.
