Qualcomm

Qualcomm is an American semiconductor company founded in 1985 in San Diego, California, by Irwin Jacobs and co-founders. It trades on NASDAQ under the ticker QCOM. Qualcomm specializes in chip design and wireless technology licensing; its primary products include the Snapdragon line of SoC processors for smartphones, laptops, and IoT devices, as well as cellular modems built on CDMA and 5G technology.

Qualcomm maintains R&D operations in Israel, with a development center in Herzliya. The Israeli operations focus primarily on wireless technology and processor development. Qualcomm is also known in Israel through its investment arm, Qualcomm Ventures, which invests in Israeli technology startups.
