PepsiCo

PepsiCo is a multinational food and beverage corporation headquartered in Purchase, New York. The company was formed in 1965 through the merger of Pepsi-Cola and Frito-Lay, and it trades on the NASDAQ under the ticker PEP. While not natively an Israeli tech company, PepsiCo maintains a significant operational and R&D presence in Israel primarily through its August 2018 acquisition of SodaStream for $3.2 billion. The corporation employs over 300,000 people globally.

PepsiCo's primary footprint in Israel is SodaStream, which operates a major manufacturing and R&D facility in the Idan Hanegev industrial zone near Rahat, and maintains corporate offices in Kfar Saba. Through SodaStream, PepsiCo employs approximately 2,000 workers in Israel. Additionally, PepsiCo's traditional beverage lines are distributed locally through a long-standing partnership with Tempo Beverages. The corporation also occasionally engages with the local ag-tech and food-tech sectors, such as its 2022 partnership with Israeli irrigation startup N-Drip.
