Orca competes in the CNAPP market against Wiz (an Israeli company founded in 2020), Palo Alto Networks Prisma Cloud, and Lacework. Orca's primary differentiator is the SideScanning agentless technology it developed. Wiz, founded a year after Orca and also adopting an agentless approach, has become the most prominent direct competitor in the space.

Orca anchors its R&D center in Tel Aviv. Both founders, Avi Shua and Gil Geron, are Israeli. The company is part of the Israeli cybersecurity ecosystem that has grown substantially in recent years, and recruits in Israel primarily for engineering, security research, and product roles.
