OPC Energy is an Israeli power generation company established in 2010 as the country's first private electricity producer. The company is a subsidiary of Kenon Holdings, which is controlled by Idan Ofer, and is publicly traded on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange under the ticker OPCE. OPC operates primarily in Israel and the United States. Its major strategic milestone in the last few years was the 2021 acquisition of Competitive Power Ventures (CPV), which significantly expanded the company's footprint into the US natural gas and renewable energy markets.

OPC focuses on the initiation, development, construction, and operation of power plants. In Israel, its key operational assets include the Rotem power plant (a natural gas-fired combined-cycle facility in Mishor Rotem), the Hadera cogeneration plant which supplies power and steam to the Hadera Paper mill, and the Tzomet open-cycle plant. The company generates and supplies electricity directly to large private industrial and commercial consumers, and also sells power to the Israel Electric Corporation (IEC).

In the Israeli Independent Power Producer (IPP) sector, OPC competes with the state-owned Israel Electric Corporation as well as private energy companies like Dalia Power Energies and Edeltech. Headquartered in Israel, OPC's local workforce consists mainly of engineering, operations, maintenance, and corporate management teams running its power plants. Because OPC is an infrastructure and energy company, its occupational profile differs fundamentally from standard IT or software companies; dedicated software engineering or R&D roles are not the core of its operational presence in Israel.
