Nilus

Nilus was founded in 2021 by Daniel Kalish. The company is headquartered in Tel Aviv and operates as a private startup. In April 2023, Nilus announced an $8.6 million seed funding round led by Bessemer Venture Partners, alongside Better Tomorrow Ventures and the Israeli micro-fund Symbol. The company builds a SaaS financial operations platform designed to automate payment reconciliation, cash management, and ledger syncing.

The primary product is a financial operations (FinOps) platform that connects an organization's payment gateways, banks, and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. It automates the process of matching transaction data from payment service providers like Stripe and Braintree with bank settlements and accounting records in systems like NetSuite. The product is primarily bought by finance, accounting, and FinOps teams at digital businesses, marketplaces, and fintech companies to replace manual spreadsheet-based reconciliation processes.

Nilus operates its primary research and development center out of Tel Aviv. The engineering and product functions are based in Israel, reflecting the local technical roots of the founder and early investments from domestic funds like Symbol.
