IDE Technologies

IDE Technologies (IDE Tech) is an Israeli company specializing in large-scale desalination, primarily using multi-effect distillation (MED) and reverse osmosis (RO) technologies. The company has been involved in some of the largest desalination projects in the world, including the Sorek desalination plant in Israel, which was at the time of its commissioning one of the largest seawater reverse osmosis plants globally. IDE is a subsidiary jointly held by the Delek Group and Consolidated Contractors Company (CCC).

IDE designs, builds, and operates seawater and brackish-water desalination plants for municipalities, governments, and industrial customers. Its two primary technology lines are thermal desalination (MED) and reverse osmosis (RO). Customers are typically national water authorities and large industrial operators, with projects executed through engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contracts as well as build-operate-transfer (BOT) arrangements.

IDE is headquartered in Israel, with its offices located in the greater Tel Aviv area. The company's most prominent domestic project is the Sorek plant, located south of Tel Aviv near Palmachim. IDE has also operated the Ashkelon desalination plant, one of Israel's earliest large-scale desalination facilities. The Israeli operations encompass engineering, project management, and R&D functions.
