Junior Manager, Consulting Business Development

All about the Role
Business Development Junior Manager, in partnership with the existing team, will drive growth of Mastercard Advisors business in the South-East Europe division, one of Europe’s fastest growing regions, incl. Israel, Romania, Croatia, Serbia & Bulgaria, by developing new business and creating strong partnerships with financial institutions, retailers, FinTechs and Government entities within payments and beyond.
Key responsibilities include:
• Shape and execute Mastercard Advisors growth strategy in South-East Europe Division (as part of their country team and divisional leadership)
• Lead sales process from prospecting to executing commercial contracts and as well as continuously manage the sales pipeline
• Farm existing accounts as well as hunt for new relationships and growth areas (incl. partnerships)
• Identify key opportunities and problems clients or markets are facing to drive new business
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with both c- and mid-level client management team
• Develop well-structured and persuasive proposals and communicate with executives to pursue
• Support strategic cross-divisional sales efforts and projects by orchestrating work of local and regional sales, product and client services teams
• Build and leverage deep knowledge of all the Mastercard’s capabilities and how they fit together to create customized and relevant solutions for clients
• Partner with project teams to ensure projects’ quality and identification of follow-up sales opportunities
• Play a key role in creation of new intellectual capital and become trusted “thought partner” for clients
• Actively participate in recruiting, training and developing team
Education Needed:
• Undergraduate degree required
• MBA or relevant post graduate degree (beneficial but not critical)
All About You:
• Native local language speaker with advanced English proficiency required
• Consulting experience from a top-rated consulting firm desirable, as is payments/ banking expertise and experience in helping financial institutions at the executive leadership level
• Solid track record of delivering on sales objectives
• Entrepreneurial spirit and can-do attitude
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent analytical skills
• Ability to work on a team or independently
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Proficiency in applying GenAI tools to enhance productivity, problem solving, and content creation
• Advanced MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint skills
