A leading engineering company in the energy sector is developing advanced systems for deep geothermal drilling. The company focuses on designing and building complex mechanical systems that operate in extreme environments, combining hands-on development, prototyping, and full system ownership from concept to field deployment.
The company is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to take ownership of the design and development of large-scale drilling systems, working in a highly hands-on environment with end-to-end responsibility.

Responsibilities
Lead mechanical design of drilling systems
Design large mechanical assemblies including energy transmission, thermal management, and fluid-flow systems
Perform structural analysis and FEA
Apply DFM principles and optimize for manufacturability and cost
Plan and execute lab and field testing
Work closely with multidisciplinary teams (thermal, RF, fluid) on system integration
Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers in Israel and abroad
Maintain full engineering documentation throughout development cycles
Support field validation activities at the company's testing sites, including periodic travel to the U.S.
Requirements
5+ years of mechanical design experience
Strong proficiency in SolidWorks or similar CAD tools
Proven experience designing and building complex mechanical systems
Ability to work independently in fast-moving, early-stage environments
Willingness to travel periodically to the company's testing site in the U.S. as part of field testing and validation activities.
Hands-on experience with hardware assembly and testing – advantage
Experience with high-power thermal systems – advantage
Experience with fluid-flow / hydraulic systems – advantage
